Depressions.

No One is Immune From Depression

The Bible shows that depression can strike anyone. Poor people like Naomi, the mother-in-law of Ruth, and very rich people, like King Solomon, suffered from depression. Young people, like David, and older people, like Job, were also afflicted.

God is Not Angry About Our Depression

Discouragement and depression are normal parts of being human. They can be triggered by the death of a loved one, illness, loss of a job or status, divorce, leaving home, or many other traumatic events. The Bible does not show God punishing his people for their sadness. Rather, he acts as a loving Father:

David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God. (1 Samuel 30:6, NIV)

Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the LORD remembered her. So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, "Because I asked the LORD for him." (1 Samuel 1:19-20, NIV)

For when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn-conflicts on the outside, fears within. But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. (2 Corinthians 7:5-7, NIV)

God is Our Hope in the Midst of Depression

One of the great truths of the Bible is that God is our hope when we are in trouble, including depression. The message is clear. When depression hits, fix your eyes on God, his power, and his love for you:

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. (Deuteronomy 31:8, NIV)

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9, NIV)

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18, NIV)

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10, NIV)

Positive or Negative?

It's hard to be positive nowadays... especially if life is just getting duller and duller each passing day.

Whether how bad or good life is, doesn't depend on the general mentality, but rather yours.

It's my choice to make from now on wards.

What kind of life do you want, a happy one living with hopes high everyday despite challenges, and that you can just laugh out of it

or

a gloomy one, one that you regard as when your life really has nothing much to complain about.

Hmmm. I would rather choose the first one... and never to sink into the second, no matter how much monotonous life can become sometimes.

Just don't think too much. Just don't worry.

Slacked so much.

And accomplished nothing.

Whoa my life is sure damn boring, and i m so losing that sort of enthusiasm for life already.

Get back to real life mannn!

My journey in life.

What that is making me feel so depressed, so down?

Is it comparing with other ppl? Or is it letting myself soak into this?

Or is it the helplessness that i have felt due to living in KL for so many years?

Had a talk with Hazel just now... What a great CG leader she is!!!

Lord, thank you so much for her.

I m now beginning to understand it already. And how i feel towards everything.

Thus, everything will be getting better and better.

Because i chose to put my trust in God.

And to rely on Him for all good or bad things.

I suppose that i should be grateful for this perfect life now.

With no worries, no regrets. No past mistakes that can haunt me in years.

No this, no that.

Life is simple and easy...
I may not have the sufficient companions that i want but i have the companions that i need.

I guess that's what makes life so much easier too. There is no room enough to please everybody yet...

So just thank for His blessings. At least i m having a job, a stable life, and bright future leading towards architecture.

ISN'T IT THAT GREAT?! What more i could ever want?

There will be so many thousands of things inside my wishlist:

A brand new Peugeot for me to drive around KL, a little puppy to be kept in my room,
dozens and dozens of friends waiting for me inside whatsapp or online chat rooms, etc etc etc.

And so many more.

Life would be much of a nuisance with so much of distractions. Isn't it?

Just enjoying life for now. I may not know when will it be the next phase of real difficulties to come.

Holidays! Are just about to begin.

Tired of getting rid of the loneliness i have always felt.

Someday...

If i can,

I will be out of this place.

Into somewhere with more quietness and peace.

Just someday.

If only.

If only i could afford the puppy along with its other medical bills and stuff.

How much i would love just to have one!

An adorable, active and playful home trained dog.

Is all that i could ever want.

This is a beagle that cost RM390 for transportation fee to KL.

The owner is too busy to take care of her 12 weeks old puppy thus wants to give it away for free.
